This is a new project I’m currently working on, it’s theme is “Nature meets technology”.
First I did a raw scribble of what I wanted the scene to look like:

After that I startet with modeling the tree in ZBrush:
It had around 3.2 million polygons which is massive and obviously doesn’t go well with other 3D-applications. So the next step was to retopologize the tree before exporting it to 3ds max:
To save some time I’ve retopologized only the head. After that I’d exported a low poly version of the tree (which hadn’t any facial details), cleaned the mesh and put head and body together in 3ds max:
The final tree mesh hat 1.699 polygons down from 3.2 million.
