Hi there, this is a scribble for my pet monster for the 3D Artist contest.
Update #1: Added a WIP image. After reading some tutorials about 3d printers I came to the conclusion that some of the details are probably really hard to print.
After finishing the second set we thought it would be a good time to begin the character animation. I started with drawing a walk cycle for the players character:
The next step was making an animation out of it to see how it’s feels in motion:
With this we can build our set (greenscreen, lighting and camera position) and shoot our first walk cycle tomorrow.
Well we thought it was time to redo the players character and giving him a few more details after noticing that he was quite abstract in comparison to the rest of the gang. Here are some drafts I was coming up with:
Draft number 3 on this picture got the pass and my “3d-printer” (Anja, I’m looking at you) is already preparing the clay version.
The new term started and so did our stop-motion project. Together with Anja Hartig and Frederic K. Macchi I’ll produce a flash game based on lots of clay and animation by hand. We want to create a atmospheric experience with cinematic elements.
